October Workshop- Spring Season at Hands in the Dirt
Spring Season at Hands in the Dirt
6th of October from 10:30am to 3:30pm
1030 West Coast Rd Warkworth
Join us on our farm for a relaxing, day long experience, creating and designing with freshly harvested Spring flowers from our flower fields. A five hour workshop starting with how and where we grow our flowers in a regenerative and sustainable approach with tours of our three flower fields, where the tunnels will be awash with Spring flowers in bloom. Following the tour will be practical demonstrations and sessions on how to make both a beautiful hand tied bouquet and a foam-free vase arrangement with a fantastic lunch in between (wine included!)
Whilst creating your bouquet and vase arrangement, we will chat about how we make our naturalistic designs using a wide variety of seasonal flowers, utilising what each season has to offer and what is readily available. From herbs to flowers to grasses, nothing is off limits and all are meant to expand your horizons on what can be used when creating arrangements! You will be encouraged to use different styles and colours in your bouquets and vase arrangements using a variety of all the most beautiful Spring flowers.
This workshop is suitable for anyone who loves and has an interest in flowers! From beginners to those wanting to expand their knowledge, all are capable and welcome.
Our farm is situated 50 minutes north of Auckland central and only 30 minutes from Matakana and the East Coast. Make a weekend out of it by visiting the Matakana markets on the Saturday and all the surrounding beautiful coast lines. It really is a very serene, special place!
